Gardening can be an effective way to build strength throughout your body.
Exercising can look different for everyone. You don't have to hit the gym or pound the pavement to reap the health benefits of physical activity. You can build muscles and strength without participating in traditional exercises. One of the best ways to get a workout in is by spending some time in your garden. All that bending, squatting, and lifting are real-life applications of moves you would do in the gym. You will know it was a great workout when you wake up the next morning feeling a little sore.

What should I eat to have a healthy diet?
- Eat less sugars, simple carbohydrates, trans fats, and saturated fats.
- Eat more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
- Eat together as a family—share mealtime with the people you define as family.
- If you have a medical condition that requires a special diet, be sure to follow it.
- If you're over 50 years old, consider taking calcium and vitamin D.
- If you're pregnant (or thinking of becoming pregnant), take prenatal vitamins.
